Threshold house
A conceptual design aimed at not only harnessing the sun’s rays for daylight illumination but also to use them to power the house via roof top solar. This house is the case in point of efficiency blended with style and good design which allows the two to intersect.
The use of materials to influence the design has been brought out using straw bale as the envelope material, a key in allowing for the existence of places to relax whilst surpassing standards of expectation. Along with using thermal mass as a moderator for temperature fluctuations makes for maintaining ideal temperature sans effort.
