THRESHOLD HOUSE

As a significant contributor to the Threshold team, in the year 2014, which represented Ryerson University at the Challenge Home Student Design Competition; organised by the US DoE [Department of Energy], Ravneet’s work was of a level of quality which consequently led to the team being awarded the Best Design Goals, the Best Construction Documents as well as the Best Presentation awards; an amazing performance to say the very least accounting for the quality competition pool of 28 teams across the United States of America and Canada.

The purpose of the competition was to bring out ideas pertaining to advancements in the field of creation of net zero homes i.e. homes having no emission impact; featuring designs which are not beyond the ability to incorporate into current construction. The achievement is accentuated by the fact that the work was done within the framework of the DoE’s Building America principles and more details of the same can be found here.
